Rear-Admiral SUETERasked the Prime Minister whether he will appoint a representative committee to inquire into the question of setting up a Board or Ministry of Defence, with executive powers, for the more efficient and economical administration of the Navy, Army, and Air Services, as briefly outlined in the Ministry of Defence (Creation) Bill, introduced by several service Members last Session?
§ The PRIME MINISTERAs this question is under consideration by the Committee of Imperial Defence, I do not think any useful purpose would be served by setting up a committee such as is referred to in my hon. and gallant Friend's question.
