§ 24. Mr. HANNONasked the Minister of Labour, as representing the Ministry of Health, whether, having regard to the recent decision of the House of Lords in the case of Kerr v. Bride, he is aware that large numbers of English property owners will very shortly be placed in the same difficult position as that which now obtains in Scotland, and that in the early part of next year tenants affected by this decision will be faced with heavy outstanding arrears of rent; and whether he will by every practical means accelerate the deliberations of the Rent Restrictions Committee so that legislation may be introduced at the earliest possible day in the next Session of Parliament?
