Gentleman to the answer given by the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Chamberlain) to the hon. Member for Ogmore on the 1st December, 1919, of which I am sending him a copy. These statistics were available mainly as a result of a special inquiry made for the Coal Industry Commission. To bring them up to date would involve a further special Return, which I am unable to authorise in view of the expense involved.
