asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the state- ment that the question of the reform of the Second Chamber is not likely to be brought up for discussion during the coming Session, he will state the intentions of the Government with regard to the admission of peeresses in their own right into the House of Lords?

I do not think there would be any advantage in considering this subject at present.
