§ 80. Captain BERKELEYasked the Minister of Labour whether, in any unemployment relief schemes which he may bring forward, there will be adequate provision for giving training to ex-service men who, by reason of their youth when they joined the Colours, have had no opportunity of learning trades or crafts?
§ Sir M. BARLOWThere is a preference given to ex-service men in selection for employment on relief schemes; but. I fear that the nature of the schemes is such that they cannot include provision for the training of the men referred to in a skilled occupation.
