HC Deb 06 December 1922 vol 159 c1728
3. Mr. BECKER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can give his assurance that there is not a secret naval treaty between the German Government and the Russian-Soviet Government?

Mr. McNEILL

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given by the Prime Minister to the hon. Member for South Kensington (Sir W. Davison) on 4th December.

Mr. BECKER

Do I understand from that that the Government do not view with great alarm any such treaty, if in existence?

Mr. McNEILL

I do not think that arises.
