§ 68. Mr. SHORTasked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the advisability of appointing a Royal Commission to inquire into the national resources of the country, the productive capacity of the country and how far it can be increased by scientific methods, the extent to which the country is dependent upon foreign imports, and any other information necessary to show the present financial and productive resources of the nation?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI do not think that an inquiry of such wide scope could be suitably carried out by a Royal Commission.
