§ 59. Mr. R. RICHARDSONasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that Mr. G. W. Green, superintendent warehouseman in the stamp section, General Post Office, was retired on the grounds of health on the 28th February, 1922, and that up to. the time of his death, 5th April, 1922, he had not received any payments on account of arrears of salary or pension: whether his widow applied to the Post Office, on account of financial distress, for an advance of money due, and the application was refused; and whether any payment has since been made, and, if so, when?
§ Mr. KELLAWAYI have been asked to answer this question. Probate was not received until 23rd June, but payment of the amount due to the estate of the deceased officer has now been made.
