HC Deb 10 November 1921 vol 148 c611
73. Major BARNETT

asked the hon. Member for the Pollok Division of Glasgow, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, in view of the widespread unemployment, he will consider the desirability of repairing forthwith the pathways of the outer circle of Regent's Park?

Lieut.-Colonel Sir J. GILMOUR (for the First Commissioner of Works)

The pathways to which the hon. Member presumably refers are maintained by the Crown Estate Paving Commissioners out of rates levied on Crown houses within the park. I understand that, owing to the exceptional drought, the surface has become loose, but that as soon as there is sufficient rain the paths will be solidified by rolling.
