HC Deb 26 October 1920 vol 133 c1531
54. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Prime Minister upon which Vote the expenditure on the Auxiliary Force of the Irish police would be presented to the House, and when an opportunity would be given for discussion?

The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Lieut.-Colonel Sir Hamar Greenwood)

The expenditure on the Auxiliary Force of the Royal Irish Constabulary is met from the provision already made in the Estimate for the Royal Irish Constabulary. There have already been two discussions on this subject during the last four days.

Mr. HOGGE

Does my right hon. Friend mean that the Estimate already taken is sufficient to cover the men employed when the Estimate was passed, as well as additional men?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

I cannot say that; but I can say that if further money be required a supplementary Estimate will be presented.
