HC Deb 06 May 1920 vol 128 c2227
49. Colonel NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether he will take an early opportunity of consulting the House as to whether the majority of its Members would prefer to adjourn before the end of July to meet again at a convenient date in the early autumn, or sit through August and part of September, and commence a new Session in the new year?

Mr. BONAR LAW

It is, I think, premature to consider this subject at present.

Colonel NEWMAN

Will private Members be consulted?

Mr. BONAR LAW

In whatever action we take we shall endeavour to meet the general wish of the House.
