§ 18. Mr. NEVILLE CHAMBERLAINasked the Secretary of State for War and Air whether his attention has been drawn to the case of ex-service men who were recalled to the colours during the War, but who, at the request of a board of officers, joined the Royal Air Force instead of a military unit because that force was short of drill instructors, thereby forfeiting their claim to a revision of their pension under Army Order 325; and whether he will take steps to ensure that such men shall not suffer in consequence of their having complied with a request made to them in the interests of the country?
§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONIf such men re-enlisted in the Air Force their pensions will be re-assessed as though they had re-enlisted in the Army, but re-assessment is conditional upon re-enlistment.
