HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1715
94. Brigadier-General COLVIN

asked the Secretary of State for War and Air whether Lieutenant Jabotinsky has been confined in the Turkish prison at Acre; and whether, as this prison is reserved for felons, he will be transferred elsewhere pending the consideration of his sentence?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

Details regarding the actual building in which were confined Mr. Jabotinsky and other persons, Mohammedan or Jewish, arrested in connection with the recent disturbances at Jerusalem have not been communicated. Mr. Jabotinsky's sentence has been reduced from 15 years' to 1 year's imprisonment without hard labour in the second division, without prison fare.

Brigadier-General COLVIN

Will he be allowed to appeal against this reduced sentence?

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Have the sentences on the Arabs convicted of rape also been reduced?

Mr. SPEAKER

Will the hon. and gallant Gentleman give notice of that question?
