HC Deb 30 March 1920 vol 127 c1086
38. Mr. BROMFIELD

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he proposes to abolish the necessity for obtaining passports by persons who desire to travel from England to the Channel Islands and other British Possessions?

Mr. SHORTT

As I stated last Thurs day, it is no longer necessary for passengers between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands to carry passports. I have no power to abolish the necessity for obtaining passports for other British Possessions.
