HC Deb 29 March 1920 vol 127 c883
73. Mr. HOPKINS

asked the First Commissioner of Works if his attention has been directed to the slow progress of the repairs to the playing grounds in Regent's Park; and if he will make a special effort to have as much ground as possible fit for cricket this summer?

Sir A. MOND

Everything possible is being done to restore the playing grounds in the park, but they were so seriously damaged during the War by their use for military training that it will, of necessity, be some time before all of them will be available for games. About one-half of the area in the centre of the park will be fit for cricket this summer.
