Lieut.-Colonel ALLENasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware, of the increasing demand for temperance legislation and the reduction of the number of public-houses, as foreshadowed by the proposed Bills of unofficial Members dealing with local, option in England, Wales, and Ireland, and which already obtains in Scotland; and if he will introduce a Bill dealing with this subject embracing the United Kingdom at an early date?
