§ Mr. BALDWINI presume that my hon. and gallant Friend refers to the rating of Tithe Rent Charge, which formed the subject of an answer given by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the 19th February. I regret that I am not yet in a position to make any statement on the subject.
Captain COOTEIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that clergymen who derive income from tithe are the only people who are charged Income Tax and rates on the whole of their earnings?
