§ Mr. McCURDYThe percentage increase in the price of home-grown and imported beef is practically the same—106 per cent. and 108 per cent. There is a considerable divergence in the percentage increase of home-grown and imported mutton, the former figure being 103 per cent. and the latter 91 per cent. This divergence is mainly due to the reduction in price effected to meet the temporary glut of Australasian supplies.
