HC Deb 11 March 1920 vol 126 cc1683-4

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."—[Commander Eyres-Monsell.]

Captain W. BENN

May I appeal to the Chief Government Whip to withdraw the Motion for the Adjournment of the House so that we may see if there is general agreement on the next Bill on the Order Paper—the Poor Scotch Litigants (Expenses) Bill? It is a small Order, and has been explained by the hon. Member who moved the First Reading.

Lord EDMUND TALBOT (Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury)

I am afraid I cannot do that, because the Secretary for Scotland is not able to be here.

Adjourned accordingly at Twenty-four Minutes after Ten o'clock.
