§ 64. Mr. CHARLES EDWARDSasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the Rent Amendment Act, 1919, deals with the question of ejectment, but under Section 2, Sub-section 1, it states that the Act shall remain in force until the 1st day of July, 1920; and if he will state whether the security of tenure under the Rent Acts, 1915 to 1919, ceases to be operative from the above date; and, if so, he will state what the intention of the Government is on this matter?
§ Dr. ADDISONAs I have already stated, a Committee is now sitting to consider the question of an extension of the Acts, and I hope to be in a position to make an interim statement next week.
