§ The PRIME MINISTERAs under Article VI. of the Treaty of Versailles all appointments to the Secretariat of the League of Nations must be provisional until they have received the approval of the Council of the League, I regret not to be able at present to give my hon. Friend the information he desires.
§ Mr. BILLINGIs it proposed that these officials shall be paid; and will their salaries be submitted to Parliament?

§ 31. Mr. LUNNasked the Prime Minister whether the representative of His Majesty's Government on the Council of the League of Nations will be instructed to urge upon the Council the immediate appointment of the Commission to consider the limitation of armaments, with a view to reducing the world expenditure on armaments at the earliest possible date?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the question by the hon. and gallant Member for Central Hull on the 23rd of February, to which I have nothing to add.
