HC Deb 28 June 1920 vol 131 c44
91. Captain R. TERRELL

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that for a telephone installation for Henley-on-Thames the annual subscription was £11 8s. at the end of February and is now £14 8s., and how the extra cost is accounted for?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The hon. and gallant Member is presumably referring to a proposed new Exchange at Peppard, near Henley-on-Thames. The increase in cost now over the February quotation is due to the increased cost of labour and materials.
