HC Deb 28 June 1920 vol 131 c24
84. Mr. DOYLE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions if he will state how many Government depôts with accumulated motor lorry and car stocks still remain; what are their names; how many men are still employed; what is the monthly cost; what is the number of motor vehicles at each depot; how many have been disposed during the past six months; and when he expects such rolling stock and the depôts to be finally disposed of?

Mr. HOPE

The whole of the surplus stocks of mechanical transport and spare parts were sold on the 7th April last, and are now in course of delivery to the purchasers. The sale in question also included such mechanical transport and spare parts as may be declared surplus within two years from the date of the agreement. The Ministry's staff are under instructions to do everything possible on their part to insure quick delivery to the buyers.
