24. Mr. HILTON YOUNGasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any news has yet been received by him as to the state of affairs in Chimarra following the occupation of that Greek district by the Albanians; and whether it is contemplated entrusting the protection of the district to the kingdom of Greece, pending a final settlement of boundaries?
Mr. HARMSWORTHI have no further information since the reply which I returned to the hon. and gallant Member's question of the 21st instant. As regards the last part of the question, I would remind the hon. and gallant Member that the question of Albanian boundaries forms part of the general peace settlement, and, as such, is a matter for the decision of the principal Allied and Associated Powers as a whole. We are telegraphing to His Majesty's Minister at Athens for such further information as he may be in a position to give us.
§ Mr. A. HERBERTIs it not the fact that in 1913 Greek troops overran the province of Chimarra?
§ Mr. SPEAKERThe hon. Member would require to give notice of that. The Under-Secretary of State was not Under-Secretary at that time.
