§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONNurses serving on a temporary engagement are given £5 10s. on embarking for the first time for Mesopotamia and certain other stations in the East, for the purpose of buying tropical kit. This amount is not deducted from their pay. Nurses serving on a regular engagement are not entitled to this allowance.
