10. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether his attention has been drawn to the seizure by Sinn Feiners of 20 rifles from the house of Mr. Watson, of Beach Park, near Lurgan; whether Mr. Watson had permission to keep these rifles in his house; and, if not, whether proceedings will be taken against this gentleman?

Mr. HENRY

The Government has no evidence to show that the statement made in the first part of the question is true, and in the absence of such evidence no proceedings can be taken.

Are they making inquiries into this case?
