HC Deb 14 June 1920 vol 130 cc873-4
78. Mr. MALONE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether M. Sabine, the Russian repre- sentative nominated by the Czarist Minister in Paris, M. Sazonoff, still occupies Chesham House, the Russian Embassy, which is the property of the Russian Government; whether he is in official communication with the Foreign Office; and, if so, whom does he represent?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

Chesham House is still occupied by M. Sabline, and with regard to this point I have nothing to add to my reply to the hon. Member's question of 25th March. M. Sabline is not in official relations with the Foreign Office, but communication is maintained with him with regard to questions relating to Russian relief and to Russian refugees on which it is to the general interest that he should be consulted.
