56. Mr. L. MALONEasked what steps have been taken, or are going to be taken, to improve the traffic arrangements in London and the suburbs.
§ Sir E. GEDDESI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Streatham on the 1st instant. A number of improvements have already been carried out with the co-operation of the transport operating authorities. The Report of the Advisory Committee on London Traffic which makes important recommendations for the control of London Traffic is under consideration by the Cabinet, and as stated by the Leader of the House on the 1st instant regard is being had, in considering the legislation for the remainder of the present Session, to the need for legislation in regard to London Traffic.
