Mr. JOHNSTONasked the Undersecretary to the Scottish Board of Health whether he can now give an estimate of the costs incurred by the local authorities interested in the promotion of or opposition to the Glasgow Boundaries Bill; and whether he can promote legislation to have such inquiries in future held in the district concerned?
§ Sir J. GILMOURI have no information on which such an estimate could be framed. With regard to the latter part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which was given to a similar question which he put on the 26th May.
