HC Deb 15 July 1920 vol 131 c2570
22. Captain FOXCROFT

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether his attention has been called to the fact that at the recent Waterford Assizes fines for non-attendance were inflicted by Mr. Justice Gibson of £100 on grand jurors, £25 on special jurors, and £10 on petty jurors; and whether, seeing that the fines so inflicted fall most heavily on those who are drawn from the classes which are the object of the present reign of terror, the Government intends to enforce payment of the fines in such cases?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given to a somewhat similar question yesterday.
