asked the Prime Minister if the total amount of expenditure by the local authorities in the United Kingdom raised by local rates and taxes for the years ending 31st March, 1919, and the 31st March, 1920, is known; and if he will state what that expenditure has been?

I cannot add anything to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health gave to the hon. Member for Wood Green on July 9th, except to say that I am informed that the figures for Scotland and Ireland up to date are not yet available.
