HC Deb 12 July 1920 vol 131 cc1962-3
80. Lieut.-Colonel A. MURRAY

asked the First Commissioner of Work's whether any recent decision has been taken by the Government with regard to the placing of flags on the Cenotaph; and, if so, will he state the nature of the decision?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Sir Alfred Mond)

The question of the reproduction of the flags in stone is still under discussion with Sir Edwin Lutyens, and I will communicate with the hon. and gallant Member when a final decision has been arrived at.

Lieut.-Colonel MURRAY

Will the right hon. Gentleman say when the model of the Cenotaph will be placed in the tea-room of the House?

Sir A. MOND

I have only just received the model, and it will be placed in the tea-room as soon as I have had an opportunity of placing it before the Cabinet.
