§ 43. Lord R. CECILasked the Prime Minister what is the position of the negotiations between Poland and CzechoSlovakia as to Teschen; and what is the policy of the Government on the subject?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI understand that such conversations as have taken place between the Czechs and the Poles on this matter have not led to any satisfactory solution. The Conference of Ambassadors have meanwhile addressed to the two Governments a formal invitation to submit the matter to arbitration. The subsequent attitude of His Majesty's Government must of necessity depend on the nature of the replies returned to their invitation.
§ Lord R. CECILAs no replies have been returned, can the right hon. Gentleman say when the invitation was sent by the Ambassadors?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWWithin the last week or ten days. I cannot say more than that.
