§ 5. Sir H. HARRISasked the Minister of Pensions whether the Third London General Hospital, which is to be closed on the 31st July, has been offered to the Ministry of Pensions and declined; and whether he will state the number of War pensioners now receiving treatment in civil hospitals?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONThe hospital referred to has been offered to the Ministry; but the accommodation was considered less suitable to the requirements of the Ministry than that of another hospital, the transfer of which to the Ministry is being considered. The number of War pensioners now receiving treatment in civil hospitals is approximately 15,000.
