HC Deb 26 February 1920 vol 125 c1877
6. Captain LOSEBY

asked the Pensions Minister if he is aware that there is a feeling in certain quarters that the pension at present awarded to widowed mothers of deceased soldiers, particularly in eases where the deceased soldier was the sole support of his mother, is inadequate; and if he will consider the advisability of so amending the Pensions Warrant that this particular class of dependant is placed upon the same basis as widows?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

The Second Report of the Select Committee contains a recommendation which is similar in scope to the suggestion contained in the hon. and gallant Member's question. I would therefore ask him to await the announcement of the decision of the Government on that Report.

Sir J. BUTCHER

When may it be expected?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

Shortly.
