HC Deb 26 February 1920 vol 125 cc1880-1
39. Mr. DONALD

asked the Prime Minister whether he has had representations from every county in the southern provinces of Ireland calling upon His Majesty's Government to invoke the fullest resources of the Crown for the protection of law-abiding citizens in Ireland; and what course the Government propose to follow in the matter?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Lloyd George)

I have received a resolution from the Irish Unionist Alliance on the lines indicated in the question. I do not think, however, that I can usefully add anything at present to the very full statement I made on the subject in debate on December 22nd last.
