HC Deb 26 February 1920 vol 125 c1911
73. Major HILLS

asked the Minister of Health if he can give an estimate of the number of houses that he expects will be completed fit for occupation under the Housing and Town Planning Acts by 31st December 1920?

Dr. ADDISON

The number of houses completed during the coming year must depend very largely on the supply of labour available for building, a matter on which I have much misgiving. If this is available I anticipate the building of 200,000 houses in a year from this spring, and I shall be disappointed if more than half of that number have not been completed by the end of December next.
