HC Deb 19 February 1920 vol 125 c1032
42. Lieut.-Colonel W. GUINNESS

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the decreased number of British troops now serving overseas, it is proposed to shorten the present interval between the polling and the counting of votes at Parliamentary elections 2

75. Mr. HINDS

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in view of the rapid demobilisation of Service men, it is the intention of the Government to so amend The Representation of the People Act, 1918, as to shorten the period of the closing of the poll at Parliamentary elections?

I would refer my hon. Friends to the reply which the Leader of the House gave yesterday to the hon. and gallant Member for Honiton upon the same subject.
