asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the decreased number of British troops now serving overseas, it is proposed to shorten the present interval between the polling and the counting of votes at Parliamentary elections 2

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in view of the rapid demobilisation of Service men, it is the intention of the Government to so amend The Representation of the People Act, 1918, as to shorten the period of the closing of the poll at Parliamentary elections?
