§ Sir J. CRAIGThe number of hours of paid overtime worked during the last three months is as follows: 99,676 in November, 80,336 in December and 147,443 in January. This overtime work was voluntarily given and was necessary to overtake arrears. The necessity is rapidly disappearing. No record is kept of the many hours of unpaid overtime worked by the higher officials of the Ministry.
