HC Deb 16 February 1920 vol 125 cc482-3
4. Lieut.-Colonel POWNALL

asked the President of the Board of Trade, if he will state the amount of toys imported from Germany arid from Holland in the months of December and January, and if those imported from Holland are entirely or almost entirely made in Germany?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Sir Auckland Geddes)

The value of toys registered as imported into the United Kingdom, and consigned from Germany and Holland respectively during the period specified were £102,587 from Germany, and £17,140 from Holland. It is impossible to say what proportion, if any, of the latter was of German origin.
