HC Deb 12 February 1920 vol 125 c218
42. Mr. DOYLE

asked the Prime Minister if he will state, in view of the persistent delays and objections raised by the German Government and its representatives in carrying out the provisions of the Treaty of Peace and the impossibility of the resumption of workable arrangements while such a policy is pursued, what steps does the Peace Conference propose to take to compel Germany to speedily and effectively carry out the terms of the Treaty?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Treaty of Peace with Germany was only ratified on the 10th of January, and I do not know to what particular delays and objections on the part of the German authorities the hon. Member refers.
