HC Deb 10 August 1920 vol 133 c224
45. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Prime Minister whether, since the Law as it now stands give no power to deal with persons receiving money for Bolshevist propaganda in this country, a Bill will forthwith be introduced providing for punishment of recipients of such money, and for the protection of the threatened public?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The Government are not prepared at present to adopt the suggestion contained in the question.

Sir J. D. REES

Will the Government consider it in the future?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We shall consider it when there is danger.

Dr. MURRAY

Is not the best Bolshevist propaganda in the world the writing of special articles by Ministers in the "Evening News"?
