HC Deb 09 August 1920 vol 133 c18
33. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Prime Minister whether the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague is to coexist with the contemplated Permanent Court of International Justice of the League of Nations; and, if so, what Super-Court or Super-Council will determine the respective spheres and functions of these institutions?

Mr. BONAR LAW

Until the Council of the League of Nations has formulated the scheme for the establishment of a Permanent Court of International Justice, and that scheme has been accepted by the members of the League, it is impossible to state what will be the relations between such Court and the existing Permanent Court of Arbitration.
