HC Deb 28 April 1920 vol 128 cc1233-4
Mr. ASQUITH

I would like to ask the Leader of the House whether a statement with regard to the Conference at San Remo will be made by the Prime Minister to-morrow, and, if so, what procedure will be adopted?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I know that the House would desire a statement as soon as possible, and I am sure that the Prime Minister would also wish to make it as soon as he can. I had a telegram from him just as he was leaving San Remo asking my view as to the date. Unfortunately, he has been two days on the road, and I have not got a reply. He will arrive to-night, and I think it is possible he will make a statement to-morrow. I hope I shall be able to make an announcement on the Adjournment, and, if so, I think the best form of procedure would be to move the Adjournment of the House immediately after Questions.
