The total number of British troops on the Rhine is approximately 14,000, of whom 13,000 are effectives. The French Army is approximately 95,000, with a fighting strength of 85,000. The total strength of the United States Army of Occupation is about 16,000, and the combatant strength 14,500. Exact 1010 figures for the Belgian Army of the Rhine are not available, but the strength is estimated to be approximately 20,000.
