asked the Prime Minister whether His Majesty's Government is represented in the Ruhr district by military missions or members of diplomatic or consular services; and, if so, whether any report has been received as to the alleged atrocities and slaughter carried out by the German Government's troops against the workers in the Ruhr?

No report as to the alleged atrocities committed by German troops has been received from His Majesty's Consul- General at Cologne, who, pending the definitive demarcation of consular districts in Germany, has been asked to report for the Ruhr district. His Majesty's Government have at present no official representatives in the district.
