HC Deb 20 April 1920 vol 128 cc209-10
59. Mr. N. MACLEAN

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is aware that Mrs. Dolan, widow of Private Frank Dolan, 3rd battalion Royal Scots Labour Corps, received a form to fill up from the local War Pensions Committee, and that this was duly filled up and returned three months ago; whether he can state the reason why no reply has been made; and when this widow is likely to receive her pension?

Major TRYON

As the hon. Member is aware, the Ministry have found Mrs. Dolan to be ineligible for the award of pension. She has exercised her right of appeal, and the papers have now been passed to the Tribunal who will inform Mrs. Dolan when the case is due for hearing.

Mr. MACLEAN

Can the hon. Gentleman answer that part of the question dealing with the paper filled up three months ago and to which no reply has yet been made?

Major TRYON

It seems to me obvious from my answer that Mrs. Dolan knew what the answer given was, and that she has exercised her right of appeal.
