MACLEANasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that Private Alexander Campbell, No. 64,591, B Company, 6th Platoon, 1st Cameronians, Gough Barracks, Curragh, who enlisted on 3rd September, 1919, will not be 18 until 3rd June, 1920; whether his mother has written asking his release; and whether he will take steps to order the release from the Army of this boy.
§ Mr. CHURCHILLMy attention had not previously been drawn to this case, but if he application for the soldier's release is made solely on account of his age, he will be held to serve, provided his enlistment was in order.
