JONESasked the Prime Minister whether he is prepared to accept the Report of the Committee on Women in Industry for early application to Government Departments, or whether ho is prepared to leave the decision on the principle to the judgment of the National Civil Servants Whitley Council?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINA Committee of the National Whitley Council for the Civil Service is about to investigate the question of the organisation of the clerical classes in the Service, and pending a Report from that Committee the Government do not propose to come to any decision in the matter referred to by my hon. Friend.
