HC Deb 26 November 1919 vol 121 c1764
10. Mr. CAMPBELL

asked the Secretary of State for India if, in the Zhob Valley, British officers had to live in tents with inadequate protection from the heat with the temperature at 109 degrees in the shade?

Mr. MONTAGU

I presume that the hon. Member refers to officers serving with the field force in the Zhob Valley during the recent operations. I fear it is impossible to provide troops serving in the field with accommodation other than tents during active operations.
